You do not want to take that shortcut!
Updated: Dec 31, 2023
Looking for a shortcut will sometimes be the longest way.
This has been one of the hardest truths to accept.
Any goal that became difficult, there I was…
Looking for the shortcut.
“Wouldn't there be a way to make it all easy and not take so much work?”
The typical thing is starting to exercise and within two days, thinking about how to make it faster and easier.
Or beginning the job search and ending up applying not to the jobs you want, but to the ones that are easier to get into.
Or not getting any sales calls and starting to think about paying people to come talk to you.
Just kidding, don't pay anyone.
But I think you've got me.
My mind, as soon as I heard about the process and the time involved.
OMG.
I was out.
1 year to get in shape? Come on.
Months for a job search? Seriously?
Thousands of calls to master sales? You've got to be kidding me.
What helped me was this.
Being honest with myself.
I change the mindset or I change my goals.
Hint. The first option is cooler.
